    Mr. Navarro received his Bachelor’s in International Business from New Mexico State University. He is a Toastmasters International member, a Certified Laughter Yoga Instructor, he has been married for 19 years and he is a father of two boys and one sweet young girl.

    It’s never been easier to get your kids active and having fun with tennis. With equipment sized right for age and skill level, and programs for kids throughout the country, tennis is ready – and waiting – for your child!

    Kids' Tennis Clubs are designed to give students of all grade levels the opportunity to enjoy tennis in a safe, supportive, extracurricular setting.

    Ibero Academy will kick-off a partnership with our neighbor, Tennis West, by offering a NEW Tennis Club! Our older students will now be able to choose from participating in Soccer or Tennis Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Language Arts Phonics, reading and writing through multidisciplinary activities; reading aloud from various genres; oral expression through discussion and presentation; general introduction to letter formation; self-expression through creative writing.

Mathematics
Pattern recognition and description; review of numbers; number relationships to 10; sorting, classifying and measurement through a study of math as part of daily life; geometry, symmetry and spatial awareness through block building and art projects.

Social Studies
An exploration of how basic needs are met, families are constituted and holidays are observed in similar and different ways throughout the world.

Science
Study of motion using marbles; behavior, anatomical structure and ecology of mammals and earthworms and their relationships to the rest of the animal kingdom; characteristics of leaves; sinking and floating; dissolving and evaporating.

Work and Play
Time to play, learn, explore and experience through role playing and problem solving; block building, board games, puzzles and multimedia art projects.

Respect and Responsibility
Weekly class using book discussions, art projects, dramatic role-playing, movement and theater games to focus on character, friendship and resolving conflicts.

Mandarin
Movement, games and elementary vocabulary designed for a playful introduction to oral communication in a third language.

Library
Weekly period for listening to stories, working on story-related projects.

Art
Exploration of media through work in two and three dimensions; development of strong fine motor skills.

Crafts
Three-dimensional art projects; lifelong skills such as cooking and sewing.

Music
Exploration of high and low, loud and soft, slow and fast, up and down, and beat and rhythm through singing and percussion instruments.

Physical Education
Dance and three general physical education classes a week focus on development of spatial awareness, body control and basic locomotor skills; introduction of basic sports skills, including throwing, catching, kicking, dribbling; proper jumping and landing techniques; coordination, confidence and awareness of self; social interaction and basic health and nutrition concepts.

Extracurricular Activities

Pre-Kinder 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Kinder 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

*Punctuality: Students should arrive at Ibero Academy ten minutes in advance of the start of classes.

*Ages:

Pre-Kinder K3 - 3 years old
Pre-Kinder K4 - 4 years old
Kinder K5 - 5 years old

Requirements
*Reaching the grade age before the first of August.
